Started in a garage.
Still feels that way.
We opened the doors of The Institute of Rockin Marysville back in 2014, in a 400 sq ft space behind a yoga studio. The instructors had decades of touring experience and zero teaching credentials. The kids didn't care.
11 years later we've taught somewhere north of 1,800 students, recorded over 200 demo tracks in our live room, and put on 40 showcase nights — including the legendary Rock The Block neighborhood blowout every June.
What we do is simple: we teach people who feel intimidated by music how to make some. No conservatory vibes. No theory drills until you're ready. Just instruments, songs you actually like, and someone in the room who's done it on real stages.
We're a working music school first, a recording studio second, and a non-profit community program third. All three live under one roof.
